Meet Chester Kuei: Rethinking What AI Can Do for Real Estate

Meet Chester Kuei, Vynes CTO, and discover how his experience in enterprise technology and AI is helping reshape tenant design review, reduce risk, and empower commercial real estate teams to focus on higher-value work.

Meet Chester Kuei: Rethinking What AI Can Do for Real Estate

A signed lease is a milestone. An open store is the outcome.

Between the two sits a mountain of work: drawings to review, requirements to check, revisions to coordinate and decisions that depend on someone finding the right information at the right time.

That’s the challenge Vynes CTO Chester Kuei is helping us rethink.

“AI should free people to work on higher-impact, relationship-building activities. Things that AI cannot do.” — Chester Kuei*

The experience behind the ambition

Chester brings more than 25 years of experience building products and platforms. As a former engineering leader at Gen/NortonLifeLock, he built platforms serving more than 100 million users and supporting over $2 billion in revenue.

He is also CEO of Personaify, where he works on enterprise AI solutions. At Vynes, he brings that experience to a very specific challenge: helping commercial real estate teams manage the work between signing a lease and opening a store.

Building technology at scale requires attention to reliability, usability and how people actually work. Those priorities become even more important when AI enters a tenant coordinator’s or project manager’s day.

What if the first review didn’t start from scratch?

Property teams bring years of expertise to every project. But applying that expertise often means searching through documents, comparing requirements and repeating checks across submissions.

Chester is helping shape how ADR Pro supports that process, bringing property guidelines, tenant submissions and lease documents into a connected review workflow, with source-cited findings that teams can examine and act on. It is purpose-built for the workflows the teams are familiar with.

The opportunity goes beyond completing an individual task faster. It’s about making relevant information easier to find, surfacing issues earlier and helping teams apply their standards consistently across properties. Misses in design review can result in very costly and high-risk situations.

“Chester brings the technical depth to challenge what’s possible and the practical mindset to make it useful.” — Richard Kim, Founder of Vynes*

We’re excited to see how Chester continues to push that thinking forward, question established processes and develop new ways for AI to support the people responsible for getting stores open.

Follow the thinking behind the technology

Chester also writes about the decisions businesses face as AI becomes part of everyday operations.

His “Beyond Build vs. Buy” series explores how organizations can approach AI decisions—a useful read for leaders weighing internal development, technology partnerships and where to focus their resources.

That willingness to explore the questions behind the technology is part of what makes his perspective worth following.

For anyone in real estate wondering how to assess AI and where it could make a meaningful difference, follow Chester and start with “Beyond Build vs. Buy.”
